PyraMax Stories & Articles

When it comes to managing your finances, there's a lot to know, and it seems as if things are changing every day! We love educating our customers, and that's why we maintain a thorough selection of stories and articles.

What To Know About PyraMax Bank's System Upgrade

We’ll be redesigned with you in mind! As you are hopefully aware of, PyraMax Bank will be going through a System Upgrade on the weekend of October 21st-22nd. If you are an existing client, you should be receiving a booklet of information about the Upgrade this week. If you would like to view the Conversion Booklet online, you can do that by clicking here, as well. Please be advised that all PyraMax Bank branches will be closed on Saturday, October 21st, to accommodate for the Upgrade.

You may have some questions about the upcoming changes, and while many parts of the Upgrade won’t affect our clients, we’d like to point out some of the biggest changes that you may notice in your PyraMax Bank banking experience.

Online Banking will be down October 20th-22nd

In addition to being closed for the weekend of October 21st and 22nd, Friday, October 20th will be a rare occurrence in which PyraMax Bank Online Banking will be down for an extended period of time. This closure will begin at 6:00 PM. During the weekend of the System Upgrade, you will not have access to view your account balances. Your account balances will once again be able to be viewed on the morning of Monday, October 23rd, and any card activity from the weekend will be reflected in your balances.

Online Banking will have a new look!

Online Banking will have a new look and feel, but all of the services that you’re used to seeing will still be available, along with some new ones! Your new user ID must be 8-15 characters long containing letters and numbers. If your user ID meets this criteria, it will not be changed.  If it doesn’t, you can change it ahead of the System Update. The password for personal accounts will be the last 6 digits of your social security number and the password for business accounts will be the last 6 digits of your business EIN.

A brand new PyraMax Bank app!

One of the biggest changes will be a new mobile banking app for your smartphone. While you will not need to re-enroll in Mobile Banking, you will need to download the new PyraMax Bank app via the App Store and Google Play when it becomes available. Beginning on October 23rd, the existing PyraMax Bank Mobile Money app will no longer be in use. That being said, be sure to watch for social media and website updates with links when the new app is available to download.

Debit Card Rewards!

Yes, it’s true; you can be rewarded for using your PyraMax Bank debit card! It’s simple, for transactions made using your PyraMax Bank debit card, you will receive points. Those points can then be redeemed gift cards and other various rewards, as a thank you to our clients.

Palm Scanning Technology

In banking, security should always be a top priority. With that in mind, our teller lines in the branch will be equipped with new, state of the art, palm readers to verify identity. This new technology will ensure that your accounts are secure, and cannot be touched by an unauthorized party. Initially, there may be a slower line in the branches while we initially scan in our clients, but the use of palm readers will result in fast, efficient service over time. You may opt out of this technology, but we would strongly encourage all of our clients to take part in a more secure, and ultimately quicker, way to bank with PyraMax Bank.

Lost Your Card? No Problem!

If you’ve ever been there, you know that the feeling of losing your debit card can be frustrating. Moreso, the process afterwards of ordering and waiting for a new card can leave you feeling helpless. However, with the System Upgrade, you will now have the ability to control your debit card through your account. If your card is lost, and you know where it might be, you can simply freeze the activity on it, preventing unauthorized transactions in the meantime. Then, when you find your card, you can reactivate it with the flip of a switch.

Introducing PopMoney

Sending money to friends and relatives has never been easier than with PopMoney! Make secure, fast, person to person payments or donate to charity, right through your bank accounts. Unlike other payment apps, PopMoney is managed with your security in mind, so you can feel safer about sending money electronically. Neither your recipient (or sender if requesting money) needs an active PopMoney account; just a bank account number and email address or phone number. You can also easily make donations to many charities, quickly and securely, as well. PopMoney will be available through PyraMax Bank Online Banking, and is also available via apps on the App Store or Google Play.

In addition to these changes, you may have additional questions specifically related to your PyraMax Bank experience. Please feel free to browse this list of Frequently Asked Questions about the System Upgrade. If your question remains unanswered, you are always welcome to contact your local branch with questions, as well.

Beginning on October 23rd, we hope that you will enjoy your PyraMax Bank client experience even more than usual. This Upgrade is planned with your convenience in mind, and we thank you for your patience while we roll out our System Upgrade!
