Given the uncertainty of the current state of the world, many people have questions about their finances, and some have made the decision to utilize their insurance coverage for financial support. With that in mind, PyraMax Insurance Services has compiled answers for five quick questions that you may have about insurance related to the Covid-19 crisis.

If my income has been affected by Covid-19, what options are out there for me from my insurance provider?

Many insurance providers are offering to waive late fees or adjust billing dates to accommodate customers that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19. We recommend calling your provider directly to discuss any available options with them.

Are there any exceptions that have been made to current guidelines to take into account the impact of Covid-19?

Many insurance carriers are making billing exceptions during this time.  We are also seeing some carriers make exceptions for personal auto policy coverages if you work in the restaurant industry and want to use your car for delivery service that would normally be restricted under a personal auto insurance policy.  

Is it too late to apply for an insurance policy?

Not at all, we are working hard to make sure customers are protected and getting the absolute best price for their coverage. Your insurance policy will only be able to cover any losses after the date it goes into effect, but you should have one in place to cover any future losses.

If I want to make temporary adjustments to my insurance policy, is that possible?

You can purchase a new insurance policy or adjust your current coverages with your current provider. You can suspend your coverage on a car if you have more than one – carriers typically require these changes to be made for a minimum of 30 days.  

I have a unique situation surrounding my income. Where could I reach out for further assistance?

If you would like to adjust billing dates or payment information, you should reach out to your insurance provider.
